Charlie is maintaining his weight and still adding muscle. “I feel better than I have in 50 years!”

Charlie is most pleased with the strength he’s gained in his stomach. “I’m getting some definition in my abs. It’s not quite a six-pack, but a beer barrel.” Charles says, "I’m really impressed with the people at The Perfect Workout.”

Two and a half years ago Charlie Wood got a wake-up call – a stroke. Since he had to give up smoking, he knew he had to do something to keep from gaining weight. When the ad for The Perfect Workout popped up soon after, he liked what he saw. It didn’t take long to see results. “First I got really sore,” says Charlie. That’s a result, right?” He’s not joking. The Perfect Workout’s slow motion strength training system is an intense workout that delivers amazing results in only two 20-minute sessions per week. The key is working each muscle group to what’s referred to as “muscle success.” The deep muscular fatigue is that point in the process of pushing or pulling slowly where you can’t possibly move the weight anymore. Studied have shown that The Perfect Workout produces approximately 50% more improvement than regular weight training.
Charlie is most pleased with the strength he’s gained in his stomach. “I’m getting some definition in my abs. It’s not quite a six-pack, but a beer barrel.” He’s not only getting muscle definition all over, he’s adding muscle mass. When he was trying clothes on for his son’s wedding, he found his suit and dress shirts no longer fit because he had more muscles! For a guy whose wife is a gourmet cook, he’s doing a remarkable job keeping his weight at 190, about five pounds less than when he started this training. A nice side benefit is that his blood pressure has gone from the high 150’s to the low 140’s. Charlie’s personal trainer Anaheim Hills, Carrie, puts him through the paces every time. “I’m no different than anyone else, sometimes I get lazy,” he says. “Carrie doesn’t let me cheat. She’s great. Very professional and a good sense of humor. I prefer having a personal trainer, and I’m willing to pay for it. I think it’s worth it.
A retired pilot, Charlie spent 25 years in the Air Force, then went to work for McDonnell Douglas. He’s logged over 20,000 flight hours, including 10,000 hours in twin jets for McDonnell Douglas and Boeing, but says “the best flying I’ve ever done is in a glider.” During his years living in Japan, he earned a fourth-degree black belt in karate and the title of Shihan (teacher). Today, Charlie spends a lot of time writing, including Fly the Airplane!, a book he hopes to finish someday. And, of course, he’s keeping his health and vigor up with his weekly workouts, and has no plans to stop. “I’m really impressed with the people at The Perfect Workout.”
